TAS YOUNG CRAFTSMAN PRIZE AWARDED AT SOUTH OF ENGLAND SHOW

For the Jubilee year, TAS Mid Sussex. five other local societies and TAS Sussex Area combined to be a Gold Sponsor for the Young Craftsman of the Year Competition at the South of England Show, held as usual in Ardingly, Sussex. TAS raised  a total of £2250 (£500 from Area) to sponsor the event, including £250 for a Jubilee TAS Prize and £200 for a Jubilee "Gold Trophy", to go to the overall winner.

The Young Craftsman Competition was a brilliant success. The winning awards were announced on Saturday 9 June 2018. The TAS Prize was awarded to Alisha Gent from the Forest Row School of Ceramics for her ceramic hares. Alisha was placed both first and third in the ceramics section, which had 20 entries, and second overall in the competition, out of 106 entries.
